Maybelinne New York has come out with a Limited Edition Holiday Collection called Gilded in Gold. I came across it last week at the store and it instantly caught my attention considering my love for Maybelline and especially the Maybelline Color Tattoos. I believe I might have every color, but this collection contained limited edition shades. I checked it out and purchased what I thought would be the best to test out.

Here is what I purchased and my thoughts:



Maybelline Limited Edition Color Tattoos:

Just Beige, Matte Brown, Nude Pink

I thought these Color Tattoo's were gorgeous. They are exactly like any other Maybelline Color Tattoo if you have tried them in how they are applied, feel on, and last. I was expecting a little more Holiday Flare since this was a Holiday Collection, but once I played with them and dressed them up with some highlighting, all was well. I have to say that the Just Beige is very beige, it would almost work as an eye primer if you wanted it too. The Matte Brown was my favorite considering I did not have a matte brown in my Tattoo collection and this brown is so deep and gorgeous. The Nude Pink is very subtle, but would be beautiful across the lid with some deeper matte shades in the crease to deepen you eyes and make them pop. There are so many ways you can play with these Color Tattoos, they were a great investment to my Color Tattoo collection!

Limited Edition Blush and Lipstick:

I decided out of the three blushes to get the Bronzed tone considering the collection was about being "Gilded in Gold". It is definitely a blush for a Holiday Event or for a night out. It has a bit of a sparkly shimmer to it. The shimmer is not overwhelming but definitely use a light hand in the day time. If you like a tad bit of sparkly shimmer to your blush, than you will love this blush. It reminded me a bit of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick's finish. I will definitely be breaking this out this winter, is has such a deep beautiful warmth to the bronzed tone. It will look beautiful for the holidays.

The lipstick has to be my Ultimate Favorite from the entire collection. There was two choices to chose from and I am in love with this color. I have been wearing it for the past couple of day and I am impressed. I was not expecting it to have such staying power. It does not advertise to be a long lasting lipstick (that I know of) and it lasted for hours. The color lasted through lattes, a meal and even brushing my teeth. The color is "spot on" to what it appears to be on the bottle and I absolutely love it.

Final Thoughts:

This is a very warm and subtle yet still very Holiday-esque Collection By Maybelline. I believe it would be a great collection for any one who is looking for a fun Holiday Collection at a great price. I have to say by far, the lipstick is my favorite. I would brag more about the Color Tattoos, but I have so many and have been using them for so long that not much needed is to be said.
